After another very successful Folk Day - this time extended to a Folk Weekend here are some of your comments:

• “I must say thanks for putting on another brilliant festival last weekend”
• “Just to say thanks for an excellent weekend. It was a pleasure to be involved …. drifting between the marquee, the acoustic concert and the rolling folk club, it was definitely a fine event all round.”
• “This weekend was fab!! I didn't intend to spend all weekend there but it sort of just happened! What a great atmosphere, what talented performers, and what a lovely crowd. You must have worked so hard to make it all happen. Thanks loads.”
• “Thanks for the great festival. Especially enjoyed hearing Chris Euesden in such good voice. What a fine singer! Pub did well too: plenty of staff, with Mark deserving a medal for the endless supply of hot dogs...”

• “This is just a word of congratulation and thanks for putting on such a great festival. My wife & I came over from Holmfirth and were there for most of the 2 days. We cannot remember when we last enjoyed a folk festival so much (if ever). What we liked so much was the intimacy of it, the great venue - all on one site - but most of all the fact that it was evident that the organisers especially, but also the performers, are all such good mates, and this made for such a great atmosphere.
  ”I could see you watching the sky regularly yesterday - and true Saturday's weather was perfect - but actually yesterday's weather was not so bad either.
  ”I also thought the attendance was very good - I hope you thought so and that the pub agreed!
  ”Anyway we are now looking forward to next year's - I hope you feel encouraged to go for the 2 day job again (even though it does not do wonders for our digestion living on beer and beefburgers!).
  ”By the way I thing BSFC is superb and a fantastic credit to you - the programme and the atmosphere are great and I still think of my home town York as the best place for folk music because of it. My wife & I are hoping to get over more regularly on a Thursday when we can.”
• “I just wanted to add one more e-mail to the hundreds of e-mails you will have received saying thank you for organising the weekend. I know how much work it is to organise events and you really do a splendid job. I have rarely been to an organisation where I did not feel myself wanting to step in and straighten out the dis-organisation. I never feel that at the Folk Club. There is never anything for me to do but enjoy the music.”
• “Just a quick thank you again for inviting (our band) to play at the festival. We all enjoyed it very much and thought a lot of the other bands were excellent and appreciated the general ambience. Congratulations to you and the team for putting on such a successful event.”
• “Just a quick note (sorry pun not intentional there) to say that I quite enjoyed myself at the Session on Saturday (dunno if anyone else enjoyed me though). Unfortunately I had to leave a bit earlier than I had first intended as I was doing everything by public transport and I didn't fancy lugging my bass through the mean streets of Keighley late at night. I was very pleased to see the Festival attracting younger (and very competent) musicians.”
