Hello everyone,
Here is a short newsletter the first of 2026 with 2 important bits of information plus news of what’s coming along over the next few months .
Sun Feb 1st that’s tomorrow it’s our annual WINTER FOLK DAY.
Non-stop folk music from club regulars and special guests from 2pm through until 10pm in the club room at The Black Swan Inn.
The line up is
Mick O’Kelly (2pm), Toni Bunnell (2-30pm), Phil Cerny (3pm),
Leather’O (3-30pm), Chris Euesden (4-20pm),
Judith and Trish (4-55pm), Old Humpy Band (5-45pm),
While Sail (7-30pm), Eddie Affleck (8-15pm), Peter Lister (8-45pm),
Sarah Dean (9-15pm), Stan Graham (9-45pm).
And then a change of timings. We’re going to begin club nights half an hour earlier as from Thurs Feb 5 which is an Open Mic night. Thurs Feb 5 onwards it’ll be doors at 7pm and music from 7-30pm onwards.

Also in York there are regular open sessions for tunes held at The Corner Pin, Tanner Row every Monday evening around 7-30pm onwards and likewise on Tuesdays at The Museum Tavern on Museum St. Every Friday night a tunes and singing session is held at The Three Legged Mare on High Petergate.
